found out today the hard way that you need a electronic blinker with LEDs. I chased the problem for two hours then looked it up online. went to autozone bought two new blinker and one was bad. chased that problem for another hr the switched it for the hazard blinker and it worked fine.

BUT THE LEDS ALL THE WAY AROUND THE PIG HAS REALLY GOT ME RANDY.

LEDS are great,,,, the moto folks, like myself, found out about the turn signal issue a long time ago the same way you did.

Started building a custom air cleaner ready for a snorkle

nice htown,,, i was looking at custom but then i just settled on an FJ80 series set-up... lemme look and see if i have the piece you need.

Drove it over Sonora Pass (2X) in the Sierras.... (9700 feet or so). Ran fine, thank god I put in that four speed though. :steer:

pulled a 3B wiring harness from a BJ60 for the upcoming 350 to 3B diesel swap that i will be doing in the winter...

not today, but over the last few weeks, I've been fixing up some things on the front- "new" hood, with fresh Krylon "Dover white", painted the grill and headlight rings, lower valence with Krylon pumpkin orange and dover white, made a bumper and installed a winch.

First pic is now, second pic is how it looked when I got it. The hood closes now too, and the release works, thanks to donor parts I got from Toyrod.

Got tired of tarping---we installed a lexan window in back with a piano hinge--ain't stock but I got me no regrets

Just got my piggy and started working on it (its been sitting for 3 years).

replaced a broken buick column with a GM column, rewired the column, new power wire to starter, changed oil.

Need to drain old gas and refill with good gas. May have a driver here soon!

Started tearing the lousy body off it preparation for a body swap.It doesn't take long when there is nothing worth saving so not a lot of care is needed.

The frame has just a coating of surface rust with no rot. It's a '78 with the original 2F, 4 speed, front disc brakes etc.I drove it home about 100 miles and it ran perfectly.Little rusty flakes of Pig droppings fell from behind as I went over the occasional bump though so this swap is necessary.

I'm swapping my '74 body over.It had a poorly done V8/3 speed conversion in it so this makes sense.

(Post 443 has the before pics.)
It took a while but I went out for its maiden voyage today. Not quite done but needed to go for a drive.Put in 55 bucks worth of gas and blew some carbon out of it.Best comment, "What year is your Jeep?"

Loaded her up along with a couple punk kid friends of my daughter and drove up the Rubicon to Bear Lake for the weekend. A little top heavy especially without the sway bars attached. Still wildflowers and green grass up there. Great mountain biking, fishing and general farting around in the pig on the trails.

Built more substantial shelving after a mishap due to my poor storage techniques resulted in half of my piggies glass being shattered. A week later and I’m still finding crushed glass everywhere.

Would have much rather been out playing like bigsal. The canoe, the bikes, good lookin' 55, up in the Sierra's.... man, I'm jealous.
