Tundra caps work on the rear, for front fitment with Tundra rims you will want to run a spacer.

Thanks. However I was hoping to use my current LX hubs on the Tundra rims. It seems some guys use old 98’-02’ 16’’ hubs on their Tundra rims. WIll these work, and if so, how good of a fit will they be? Trying to avoid using the Tundra hubs all together.

Most guys stay with the Tundra caps because they dont stick out like the factory caps. To be honest I have no idea if the 16" caps will fit.

With a joyful heart, I should have my LC back tomorrow from CBT. It has been there for 2 weeks but @murf has gone above and beyond and made sure she is running well.

The head gasket blew so I called around and got a few crazy quotes on repairs from 2000-2300. Then I remembered that a few people had/have taken their LC to CBT. Called Robert at CBT and got an awesome quote, so I had it towed there. While the head was off they replaced the valve seals as they were all leaking by and also getting the heater control valve replaced.

Thank you @murf

Being stuck here at home is killing me but Im getting some long awaited project done. Replaced the 100watt solar flex panel on the roof today.
IH8 removing VHB tape:bang: You know you are screwed when you call 3M engineering about removing VHB tape and they tell you is make not to be removed WTF!

Not the traditional weekend but it is my weekend. I spent a good majority of the day at CBT waiting on my LC. The mechanic that was working on it was a little OCD, it was not idling right. I am glad that they were very through with my LC.

The top end is basically new. They replaced the valve seats, valve seals, gaskets, hoses, PHH, heat control valve, heater hoses, cap, rotor, plugs, rotor, etc...

More importantly, it is running nicely now.

Good to hear all is good. After CBT was done with mine I saw a 20% increase in MPG.

That is good to hear considering that these rigs don't get the greatest MPG.

I do not recall if they sent the injectors out for cleaning or not. I will have to call Robert tomorrow and confirm if they did send them out. If they had I could see that would help with my MPG as well.

Next, on the list U joints, possible phasing of the front drive shaft, replace the PS pump (leaks like a bad dutch dike), and castor correction.

Not sure if I am going to run the @Delta VS radius arms or another option.

I do plan on adding spacers, and longer ICON shocks to add clearance for 37s.

Tossed together a Jerry can rack for the taco out of some scrap tubing & a rattle can of paint.
Used the bed attachment bolts for strength.

drive it 500 miles and replace the oil and oil filter.

Fixed my intermittent start issue last night. Removed the starter and replaced the contacts and plunger in my starter solenoid and viola, no more intermittent start nonsense. Inexpensive and easy 45 min job all done from the fender well. 🍌

Those dang OCD mechanics. Glad it’s running better.

In addition to running more smoothly and a slight MPG gain, the oil usage dropped to almost zero- I have not added oil between changes in the last 6 months. I believe this is attributable to the valve guides being replaced.

That is awesome to hear. It has been driving a lot better, probably due to the cleaned injectors. I definitely need to re-gear this land whale. But it is good to have it back.

When I got the head gasket done had new valve seals and things replaced and virtually no oil usage.

Testing new LCP products on the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Why have I not gone to this incredible area before? I’ll be back soon...as I head home today and hit the beach tomorrow 😎👍🏝🐟🐡🐳🌮🍹

KOFA has some good trails, scenery and places to visit. definitely an under rated place to explore. So close to PHX too.

The trail have great just seems like the ones I pick are very narrow being only side by side friendly. Lots more exploring in the next few weeks after a little more mapping

I pulled the trigger on the LevelMatePro and Amazon was here the next day. This hardware and software set up is made to make your leveling of your vehicle easy and fast. This is something I find myself doing 50-75 times a year so Im excited.

Set up was fast and straight forward. I set my static level with the rear up ~1.5" because I prefer to have my head slightly elevated when sleeping.

Testing- Found an uneven spot much more than I would normally be off.

1898202

Blocks are rough 1.5" tall but one needs to take in account air pressure and ground condition.

1898207

Pulled up on the blocks

1898209

The results were great
With the static at 1.5" up in the rear I would still be happy only a .25" lower

1898210

Did a couple more test and the results were consistent and verified my reading with the level.

Real time testing "LevelMatePro" last couple days

1) Light rain read the app, placed the blocks and nailed it first time.

1905516

Last night raining a lot. Drove around until 9 hoping the rain would stop, no luck. Was able to move around enough to be perfectly level without a block or getting out. To tired to mess with the awning, quick bite and try to make a fast entry in the tent. I welcomed the morning with no rain and 42°. In the end the LevelMatePro is in my 80 for good.

The wife, the little guy and I went up the 87 towards Payson to find snow and we found it. We ended up going about 20-25 miles south of Payson. The picture of the little guy is seconds before he made yellow snow...
