Altitude has nothing to do with gear Eric.

Romer,

That's pretty cool. Looks like you guys had an awesome time.
We did the Norcal thing... You know a bunch of Cruisers with good food on great terrain. Trip Blog

Nice!! I ran Kelly Flats with my brother and a few friends. My brother struggles a bit with a very stiff sprung Jeep, so we had him drive my buddy's 40 for awhile to see what a Cruiser is like.

End result = He should be trading up soon, and I need to go to the Chiro after driving his Jeep 1/2 a day.

well, my slight exaggeration above notwithstanding, some naturally-aspirated 80s seem to be struggling above 8000 or 9000 ft already, with accompanying need for downshifting. 13000 is pretty high... Was it struggling?

But no matter, great scenery, and I'm sure a great time with good folks, too!

wow.... that looks like a blast!

...are you going to do it again? .... maybe in Sept??? ..... the 8th thru the 11th???? :D

Went wheeling in Big Bear with reps from Forest Service, Trail Crew, So Cal TLCA and So Cal 80s. Drizzle in the valley, spectacular sunshine on the mountains. Killed the satellite radio [not waterproof!]

Made Biscuit lock his hubs on that mall-rated 40 of his ;p , which was worth the price of admission.

Oh yeah, Toy 4WD Owners mag photographer was there.
