It gets its on data, the boost controller has its own boost signal. These electronic boost controllers are a stand alone item and work on any vehicle.
this jives with one of my previous posts; the 12ht is an old motor/system that a manual boost controller is designed for, get your boost to desired level, tighten knob, and drive. Fuel delivery isn't going to be done by an electric controller so what's the point? You DO need an EGT gauge before you touch boost and fuel levels. What do you mean by "automatically make the adjustment"? Whether you're using a manual or an electronic boost controller, you still need to decide the boost level appropriate for your circumstances. Diesel's aren't like gas engines where you have a low and a high boost setting, as the fueling needs to be matched to the boost, and it's a mechanical adjustment for fuel on everything before the 1HD-FTE's, so once you're finished tuning you'd just leave it alone.
@rideglobally , just find a manual model you like, set it and forget it.
