I'd be a bit nervous with that shackle orientation. If you manage to articulate enough to invert the shackle, it can mess up a spring. BTDT. But then again, maybe the springs are stiff enough that it cannot happen.

The shackle can't invert totally without going through the 3/8" plate steel my power steering box is mounted to - and if it manages to do that, I have bigger problems. Inversion is a semi-common issue with OME springs, it's actually mandated that they be installed with anti-inversion elements. Frankly, they are too short, by design, though I'm not entirely clear why - I'm no suspension engineer. They do ride exceptionally well though so there must be some method to their madness.

new rubber on the '94, pretty sure the last set was square....i was sure there was a wheel bearing going south, turns out it was a/the tire/s.
i went back to 285s bfg ats from 295s. they were at least 6 years old, had at least 40k on them, with okish tread but lots of dry rot and apparently funny wear.

Replacing a bun line proofer box in Minneapolis.
Not working on it yet, but we just went under contract to buy 11 acres of land 2 miles down the road from our current house. We close the beginning of next month and then the fun begins. The land hasn't been used for anything other than hunting since the 1970's and is raw land other than an overgrown farm lane. Lots of trees to cut and brush to clear to get it ready.
Also picked up a 2021 TRD Pro Tundra a couple of months back for daily driving and tow rig duties.

I've been quite on here for a bit. I started v8 swaping the 4runner back in November then life got in the way. So I'm currently in a holding pattern with alot until I replace the Tundra.

I was at work earlier so I didn't have time for great detail.
I was hit on my way to work on rt30 at 4:45am on 2/9 (Tuesday). My supervisors call it "stupid Tuesday" since stupid things seem to happen on Tuesday at work. I was in the right hand lane doing 65. There was a red car in the passing lane that I expect was closing on me. We were both hit by a white car (2017 Nissan Sentera) I think the kid that hit us tried to pass the red car on the right and under estimated the distance and his skill. My truck was hit on the rear driver first and then the driver side. I was hit hard enough that it sent me across the passing lane and into the stones between the road and guard rail. (about 6' wide) I saved it from the guard rail but it was close. I then drove it well off the sholder and called 911. After the impact the white car passed me throwing a shower of sparks from underneith as he slid down the highway. He slid out of sight around the corner. I estimate 1/4 mile from impact. I think he had no brakes since his wheel had been ripped off. I expect he was going at least 90. I just received a subpoena to testify on behalf of the Commonwealth of PA too.
My Tundra has been deemed a total loss. Some of the highlights are a sheared center pin for the leaf spring, B pillar damage, side air bags, headliner, both doors, bed, rear bumper, sheared shock shaft, fuel filler neck, possible bent wheel, possible drive train damage.
