Think I used what I could find at advance. Valvoline moly fortified full synthetic. Had to go to two or three different ones to get two cans of it. Has been fine but I don’t drive it much.

Pinon is too deep in the gear, should be more in the middleChecked original ring gear pattern and took couple of other measurements. Made simple rig to hold housing. 98% disassembled.

I agree, thought it was odd, that's the original gears. Of course doesn't mean someone else hasn't been in it before me. Had zero pinion pre-load. Ring gear backlash was top of spec. Pinion flange run out was in spec.Pinon is too deep in the gear, should be more in the middle

After my post, I checked that red moly does exist. I'll still probably clean out and replace to match other sidecould still be moly??? Good progress.
