Think I used what I could find at advance. Valvoline moly fortified full synthetic. Had to go to two or three different ones to get two cans of it. Has been fine but I don’t drive it much.

Thank you, that's what I picked up.
Rear gears are out!
Checked original ring gear pattern and took couple of other measurements. Made simple rig to hold housing. 98% disassembled.
Does anyone have this tool in the Richmond area I can borrow? Don't mind buying one but thought I'd check first.

Pinon is too deep in the gear, should be more in the middle
I agree, thought it was odd, that's the original gears. Of course doesn't mean someone else hasn't been in it before me. Had zero pinion pre-load. Ring gear backlash was top of spec. Pinion flange run out was in spec.

While I did more body work, Betsy finished the steering wheel.
I am not 100% happy with the way it all lines up. Aftermarket lights and the fact it was crushed in pretty good. Good thing I got the big honkin ARB bumper to cover it up! Lol!!

Front axles and diff are out. I had a shop do my birfields last year before a trip, it appears one side is packed with gray moly and the other red???? Assuming bearing grease.....grrrr.

After my post, I checked that red moly does exist. I'll still probably clean out and replace to match other side

I got the lift kit about finished up and the brakes blead. I am missing on collar for the rear sway bar bushing then set the toe. Lots of little parts that make a lift kit complete and much more drivable.
