This popped up on my pandora just now. I heard this track once long ago and forgot about it. Interesting Finnish Metal

I learned everything I need to know about epic battles from Iron Maiden.

I've probably posted this one in the past, but ... I just spent the last 41 minutes, uninterrupted, sitting on the couch in the dark, listening to AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock". A much needed relaxation exercise before I head off into the hell of my daily grind. This is about the most perfect a studio recording can be to approximate a live recording. Every instrument sounds amazing and authoritative, and it all hits you with the slap you need to right yourself when you've lost direction. There's not much variance in the emotion of the songs but that doesn't matter here. Hearing it alone while doing nothing else is a completely different experience from hearing any of the songs on the radio or while driving. This is simply one of the greatest rock records ever.

The Who's "Eminence Front" is a very similar aural trip.
Doing it again right now. With wifey this time.

Yep while Sabaton may have more than Maiden, nobody does songs about battles like Maiden

Had a couple days at the drawing table last week and was playing enough Andrew Bird for tour adds to pop up in the browser and low and behold a local(ish) venue. Sold.... And headed to the orange peel last night.

Was a great show despite the long ride home. Only Other time ive seen he was solo but was a great show with the band as well.

Billy Joel has always been one of my favorites, saw him a couple times, late 70's early 80s.

Trying to finish up this work day...need some energy to get me through.

Albert Lee, beyond smooth

Rockabilly, my heavens!

I remember in 9th grade when someone said, "Dude, there's a BLACK heavy metal band!" Nobody believed him until Cult of Personality started getting massive rotation on FM and MTV. No, I'm not posting that one. This one has more twists and turns than COP. Desperate People. Same album.

@GarnerFJ40 I'm thinking that this brings you back just as it does for me. Cracker "Teen Angst". "I don't know what the world may need but a V8 engine's a good start to me". I always wanted to make a video that goes to hell like this one does at the end. Ahhh, the good old days.
