so im doing some front end suspension and steering work soon, and im thinkin about putting some shims in the front end to get some castor back. ive got an ome kit, and im getting squirreliness on hard braking and on the highway and stuff. doing some research on this forum and lookin at some stuff on my truck, ive determined that that means ive got a castor issue.

what im tryin to figure out is what angle shim i should get:confused:

I am pretty sure the correct caster is +1 degree, my 2" ome put one side at -1 and the other at 0, so I did a +2

The right way to figure this out is to measure your caster, which is best done at an alignment shop. Once you know what your current caster is, you can easily figure out what shim to get. With larger than stock tires, many folks prefer to go with larger caster also.

cool

thanks for the help!
