Went from a LC90 to a 200 and not liking the seats

In general I love the truck but I am 6'5" and in my 90 I could adjust the seats such that the front of the seat supported my thighs... the 200 seat doesn't raise that much in the front and it always feels too flat to me. also, before I could adjust the steering wheel so that it came up much higher, closer to being flat almost like a school bus steering wheel no luck on the 200. The seat is the bigger issue- any ideas out there on how to modify the driver's seat so it sits much higher in the front? Thanks all!

I'm tall too, with a long torso...

Perhaps you've already fiddled with this, but when you raise or lower the back of the seat, it has a huge impact on the angle of the front. I have my seat as LOW as it will go in back...and and high as it will go in front. This creates the sharpest upward front angle as possible.

agree the 200 seats are lacking..... and mine at 60k are showing wear.... I'm looking into options from Sparco and Recaro but it looks like anything will need to be recovered to match..... the old Sparco Milano's in tan are discontinued...
I agree with Mark's front up tilt back style - I'm only 6'1" but that having the seat almost all the way back barely make it comfortable, and the lack of bolsters is noticible when running hard or playing in traffic. Planted has a seat beacket that will take most of the aftermarket seats.

I can't recall if there are airbags ? that was an issue when I put the sparco 600's into my jeep but we coded the light out....

Probably the worst thing about the LC, IMO.

The seat is too damned tall. Was the same in my 2013 Tundra. I have no idea what Toyota is thinking there.

My 2015 with only 15k miles also is already showing marked wear on the Ingres/egress portion of my drivers seat, too. And I've been as careful as possible, knowing this has long been a Land Cruiser issue.

At this point I figure I will just have Katskinz redo it when the time comes.

I still try to lower my seat every time I get in the truck... but it's already all the way lowered.

Just to show Toyota is all over the place on their seats: I have a 2016 Prius at work, and if the seat is all the way lowered I can't even see over the dash.

IMHO Toyota has always missed the mark with all things seat comfort, support, both in side bolster and thigh length, as well as adjustability in their flagship SUV aka Landcruiser including my '99 100-Series. A few years ago I finally had enough and swapped in a Recaro and although they are not built for larger frame folks it was one of the best mods I've done to my LC and certainly the most comfortable and supportive. FWIW I'm 200lbs and 5'10".

Disappointing to hear Mr. T couldn't get the seating right on the 200. LX570 any different?

While I would love aftermarket seats, I would worry about the safety aspects. The factory seats have side airbags as well as proximity sensors that tell the front airbags how hard to deploy (these sensors can sometimes be transplanted to aftermarket seats, but if they are not placed properly, it can affect deployment speed.

Additionally, the factory seats have active headrests, that protect you from whiplash in a rear collision.

I agree that Toyota seats aren't the most comfortable, but my 200 seats are way better than the 4Runners and Tacomas I have owned. My Tundra seats were about the same.

I didn't mind my Tundra seats either.

My 3rd gen 4Runner's seating position sucked since my head was 2 inches from the roof.

You can tell how far removed from all things modern vehicles and all the safety add-ons ... and, of course, how it relates to aftermarket accessories. Related: I was a passenger in a brand new F150 and was surprised to see air bags in the shoulder belts!

@spressomon - LX570 seats are really very much the same as the LC's. Different leather but overall feel and support felt the same to me and I've driven both truck platforms... in fact, I've driven my 2010 LX, a 2013 LC, a 2014 LC, and a 2016 LX. I didn't really feel much difference.

Agree! Was playing with the new f150 king ranch and and regular F150 leather seat at the rodeo event in Houston yesterday and wish Toyota put a similar one in the 200, so much more comfortable and support on those seat!

Seats are ok, but my 100's were better imo. 200 "bucket seats"? I've never seen a nearly-flat bucket...

They travel well, but there is almost no wrap to them...so they don't hold you in place very well on rough stuff.
