I think black is all that is available from the dealer. You'd have to paint them to get back to the original grey.

I believe the black is a primer, just like the body panels come from the factory.
stock wheels widened to 10" powder coated black. 35"mtr's
Gentleman, I just bought a 1974 FJ40 with 33x12.5/15 BFG AT tires and want to get tall skinny with OEM rims, where can I get 5 OEM steelies from so I can get tall and skinny tires? I live by New Bern, NC Thanks, Adam
I sold my stock steel wheels in 1973 and went with chrome wheels with baby moon hub caps (nobody under 50 will remember those). I went to the spokes in the 80s and only in the last few did I start regretting the sale of those original wheels. I'm showing my TLC in a car show tomorrow and wanted to get back as close to stock as I could. I got my OEM steel wheels used from Proffitts. They had them sandblasted and powder coated for me and did a pretty good job. Now they are on and ready for tomorrow's show.
Looking good hogula! Thought I would throw on the top and take another look, now I know the old school are the ones.

I have been looking high and low for a nice looking after market wheel that I can run my 35's on. I love the oem rims and caps. I would be very interested in finding out who widens them.
