Well, I had to.

Are those Wilwood calipers direct bolt on, or do you need some sort of adapter bracket? Those are so pretty! I hope you've posted more pictures in the GX470 forum!
They are in my build thread in my sig. The RR Racing kit comes with everything to adapt to the 470. By the way...this would likely also work on a 460 as they are largely interchangeable for the front brakes.

Dan, Since I went Cruiserless and you recommended going the GX route, this is what I have had my eye on. Sadly I have not done it yet as we are awaiting delivery of our Taxa Mantis.
I will try to get in one before the end of 2021 since the GX changes in 2022. I fear it will be fugly and or a eunuch. IF you have any news in that department to alleviate my fears I would appreciate it.

Heck, I was just checking out the TAXA Wolly Bear trailer. That got my attention!

Some upcoming Prado rumors... let your browser translate

Looking at your sig line...
Whats a 2021 LX 460?
GX maybe?

Nice! I grew up down the road from Woodstock in Marietta actually. We just picked up a 2021 GX as well, I have never seen the luxury version up close. Those red seats are serious! We ended up going with the premium and sport package with captains seats 19's etc. Im not really a go buy a new car person so hoping this thing will last us at least 20 years of enjoyment. Its been great so far, 2 weeks now lol

Nice! I am almost to 200 miles haha. I work from home so this thing is going to be babied.

Ours is 15 months old and it already has 31,000 miles on it lol. That number would likely be in the 40's if it weren't for Covid and working from home the past 7 months.

I just rolled 250 miles haha

Yeah, the v6 was my concern and year end 20 for a 21 was the sweet spot since I think the year end 21 deals will be harder to find with the 22 release.

So 2022 will see a step down to the V6? Is that confirmed?

Nothing wrong with a V6 as long as it's pumped up like the Ford Rapture's V6 and gets better MPG!

V8 or bust. I HATE how manufacturers are ditching large displacement engines + higher number of cylinders for smaller engines and turbos. It just doesn't sit right with me and I have loads of experience driving both. Nothing is as smooth and power band filling like a naturally aspirated V8. On another note V6's all sound like crap and for the real world get crap MPG, with Ford's "EcoBoost" being the largest bullshitter with MPG "ratings" there is. Americans in particular drive the s*** out of their vehicles and thus all of these smaller engines with turbos are getting more throttle input than needed (thanks turbo lag and spike-y throttle mapping) and much less MPG. I'm just not convinced with this whole BS about smaller engines and turbos. For an example, I had a 2016 and 2018 Dodge Charger R/T both with a 5.7L V8 and if I drove like a sane responsible person I could average 20-23 MPG in mixed driving and 35-40 MPG on the highway, cylinder deactivation helps. In 2017 we managed to average over 30 MPG driving ~3,500 miles from DFW to LA and back and in between going sight seeing in the mountains in my 2016 Charger R/T. All this with a "thirsty" Chrysler V8. So if Toyota ditches the V8 in the GX I'll never buy a new one.

I'll get off my soap box now. :D

Note, if you want these for power / speed or towing in high altitudes fine, just don't expect it to sound good, have a smooth driving experience or good fuel economy.

I agree, not a fan of smaller turbo motors and I've owned a few. I'll likely stick with the last of the V8's myself.

Have to admit I have to kind of chuckle every time I hear omeone thump on the throttle of one of those V6 Raptures and the sound it makes!
Nothing like a V8. The exception being Italian V8's and V12's, but now we're talking music, not noise... :D

Then 2021 is the pinnacle of the GX overall then yea? Plus if they somehow neuter the 4wd system that will essentially kill the GX because no one in their right mind in Africa, Asia or Australia will want an LC Prado with a rubbish 4wd--or perish the thought of an AWD--system.

The only V6 I've ever heard that sounded like music was this...

Or if they go to a unibody... For me, that's a deal breaker, right there!
But from what's going on in the community and some of the tease's they've shown with GXOR, maybe they'll go in more the adventure route!

I saw this down at the coast yesterday, a lifted Subaru Cross Trek going where he didn't belong lol, "but muh AWD" lol.
