Quick welding question and I know not to weld galvinized pipe with regular arc rods. Is the black plumbing pipe (like what you would buy from Home Depot for plumbing in a house) galvinized? Or is it regular steel that I can weld on?
Your not building a rollcage are you?
nope.. I am not a welder or a weldor..

Black pipe sold at Home Depot is malleable steel. I don't think they sell cast but if it's under 2" inside diameter it's steel. and if it's threaded it's steel. Funny how codes differ, here in Pa you have to use galvanized pipe for gas outside from the meter to where it enters the house and you have to paint the threads.
And 2x on welding galvanized, it welds fine just watch the fumes.

i've ran a few lines as well as cut a few lines into exisiting lines.
