Swapped the rear springs out for 5 leaf 63" Chebbies SUA a while back, I will add details and pics of the swap later. 14" travel 51002 in the rear and 12 inchers in the front, with extended brake lines. Haven't flexed it out yet.
Can you comment on the spring swap please. I'm thinking of doing the same thing (63" chevies SUA). Please comment about ride quality, handling, and opine whether or not would do it again.
Thank you
just a quick update. did the Rubicon with TLCA, rig did amazing. Ended up scrapping my ez locker for a welded rear the night before we left. 63" Chevies and 14" travel Bilsteins in the rear was a great setup, I had the smallest tires of my group but the added flex helped me stay low and retain traction over tough obstacles.
added a stereo, 4 6x9s powered by a 400w marine grade amp (two are in a ammo box up front that I can put up on my roof rack while camping) then a single 10" sub and 200W amp, then a JVC bluetooth head unit with no CD player that I painted pink so no one would steal it as my full doors are never on.
There's a ton of s*** I've done, shock hoops in the front and 12" Bilstein 5100s, I extended the brake lines and dif breathers fornt and rear etc. blah blah here's some pics.
