Thanks!

So I put together my 37s... scored some 17" FJ Cruiser steelies for $75 mounted over my existing 2" wheel spacers, found some 50% Toyos for the rear and 50% MTR Kevlars for the front plus a spare.

Geared 4:88 thirds are on the garage floor, and it's time for some... :sawzall:

Ive got about 3.5" to the bumps i think i can get it done without completely tubbing it out, question is clearing frame/springs/shock hoops up front at full lock. 19" from frame to ground, chromos to follow down the road.

Digging where you're heading with this rig. Those tires look like 40's from sitting so low.
I like your socks.

I suppose we've beaten the "fat kid's thighs" metaphor to death by now.

17" wheels and 37" tires looks soooooooo good.

I havn't beaten any kid's nothings, but yes 17s look too blingy on anything smaller.

Fender trimmings, rear is looking good. 2.5" BS and 37x13.5 tires tuck pretty nice, hoping a BFH will make up a little wiggle room, pic is at the bumps.

37 s are fitting still sprung under... i support that so if i read right, 63 inch chevy springs in the rear, what did you do out front, how is the gearing going?

yep, 63s in the rear and moved the axle back an inch. bastardized front with a AAL, ext shackle and relocated hanger. then a 1" body lift. but really could be done on a stock suspension with AALs and small body lift, I designed my suspension for travel but 37s and stock would be fine.

4:88s set up in thirds on the garage floor.

Cut moar!

I like the cut lines. The front is exactly what I did on mine.

the rear will definitely get massaged, my 2.5 total backspace is allowing for them to tuck into the fenders allowing for a little addidtional travel.

well damn i think i like the set up because it is simple and low but got enough tire to go anywhere, and body damage is no worries, thats my favorite part

cheers

Do you have pics of how you did your sheetmetal? I was going to make relief cuts on the inner fender then bend them out to the outer and weld with possibly a stick of 1/8" solid to fortify. Then patch the holes with sheet.

I simply cut the inner fender. I haven't patched the hole between the inner and outer fenders, I just left it open. I don't have to worry about snow anymore, only worry about salt after a beach trip and I avoid mud, cleaning it off if I encounter some. I need to figure out a way to attach the lower portion of the outer fender to the body, but that's the only outstanding problem.

got a little bit of cutting done, fitted 3" spacers up front with the 4.5" BS wheels for 1.5" of BS seems to bring the tires of the leaves, still rubbing on my shock hoops though, might have to amend those at some point. Still need to weld and patch the front wheel wells when I get them where I want them. No fender rubbing lock to lock at full stuff though.
