Does anyone know what size of pipe plug is needed to fill this hole in the cylinder head? I'm going to assume that it's British standard pipe thread just like the air rail plugs I used.

Thanks

Yup, 1/2“BSPT is correct. 1/2” happens to be the only size where BSPT & NPT share the same thread pitch which is 14 TPI. The taper however is slightly different. I have used 1/2” NPT plugs and they fit fairly well. I once ordered some 1/2” BSPT plugs just to do it properly. They took forever to arrive and when they did, the threads were so poorly cut, the NPT plugs actually had a better fit so I still use them. If you go for the BSPT plugs, make sure they are not coming from China. A hex socket plug looks cleaner like your air rail plugs. I prefer the softer “Brass Plugs”

Great information, thank you . And yes I was planning on the hex socket. Much cleaner than the factory square-head plug.
