Much cleaner than the factory square-head plug.Yup, 1/2“BSPT is correct. 1/2” happens to be the only size where BSPT & NPT share the same thread pitch which is 14 TPI. The taper however is slightly different. I have used 1/2” NPT plugs and they fit fairly well. I once ordered some 1/2” BSPT plugs just to do it properly. They took forever to arrive and when they did, the threads were so poorly cut, the NPT plugs actually had a better fit so I still use them. If you go for the BSPT plugs, make sure they are not coming from China. A hex socket plug looks cleaner like your air rail plugs. I prefer the softer “Brass Plugs”
