Got the Warn 9.5xp mounted to the front of my LC (TJM T3C bumper). I, due to this winch being a little wider than what the TJM winch plate and brackets would allow, needed to make another bracket for the PS side to provide adequate clearance. And I decided to remote mount the solenoid pack next to the fuse box with another custom bracket that attaches to the fender...turned out pretty well I think.

Pic 1 is before removing bumper from LC but with winch access plate removed from bumper.

Now waiting for the X-line to wrap up before putting bumper back on...

Looks awesome!

So you're gonna run the control cable out of the engine bay?

In cab control?

No. The winch remote plugs into the solenoid and I am going to plug it in when/as needed. There really isn't room or good access for the solenoid pack when mounted behind this bumper. Plus being higher in the engine bay it is better protected from water, etc. Plus much more convenient to plug the remote in...

Looks nice! We have the t-15 on the wifes 4runner and love it. (We are currently thinking 80or100series as an upgrade and the wife wants a similar front bumper no matter what we do.) :)

How do you like your TJM? Is it as beefy as the t-15?

Thanks. I haven't seen the T-15 in person. The T3C is a fine bumper. I think the ARB is probably a little heavier duty due mainly to the slightly thicker guage steel they use...but I like the looks of the TJM.

Looking good spressomon!

Can you measure how much room you have between the inside of the frame rail to the winch on each side?

Also measure the distance from the back of the winch to the radiator area?

Looks good so far. Waiting for the final pix.

What do you do with the airbag sensors when fitting this bumber and winch?
Any interference? Any changes?

I am also waiting for the measurement back to the radiator, to see if there is room for the intercooler.

Great idea. Mine is to the left of the winch and I agree, up I higher is a good call.

Though I've only ever used mine twice...

I put the winch on in the hopes I will never need to use it ;)

Dan,

Can you unbolt the stainless steel tube?

Looking good BTW:cheers:

Why would you want to? I am just not sure if this bumper or the ARB saharah? give enough protection. The main reason of ours is to protect from deer! Same will be the case with our new car.

I've got the T-15, but in aluminum. :princess:

Definitely not as beefy as steel.

The tube is aluminum on mine...I think they now offer a SS as an option or aftermarket. But in any case it appears it just unbolts...however I haven't taken it off...

Mac: Is the winch mounting system the same on the T-15? If so the winch plate, which is bolted to the frame and front crossmember, takes all the winch stresses.

Exactly. It mounts to frame and crossmember.

As far as weight difference.... Uhhh... I have no idea.
