Does anyone have any extra brake discs? Used is ok if they aren’t cracked. The used ones I got were broken in shipping. I just need something to get this winch going.
@MatthewMcD ??
Definitely keep me in mind! If they don’t have cracks I’d take them. Not in a big rush but I’d like to get this PITA fixed…haha.How quickly do you need them? I’ve already received my new Warn rebuild kit but won’t be taking apart the brake until I get back from VA
10-1-24. I don’t know if mine are good or not? But I’m happy to let you have them for the cost of shipping to you.
Sorry, I misread your request. The only thing I have are the 6 "break pads" shown on the right of the photos in WARN 8274...show what ya got! - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/warn-8274-show-what-ya-got.1088231/post-15632569Does anyone have any extra brake discs? I thought so, no, I just have the ones I got in my rebuild kit. Sorry.
Will do. As soon as I get it apart I’ll let you know either way.Definitely keep me in mind! If they don’t have cracks I’d take them. Not in a big rush but I’d like to get this PITA fixed…haha.
A bit of paint and elbow grease and this is where I am now. The brake repair kit had a few extra parts that didn't match anything that came off the winch. (I did use the cardboard spacer for the brake installation.)This is how it started.

And this is how it's going. As far as I can tell all of the parts are here, and he included a new cable and battery cables.

The rebuild kits started arriving today.
Does the drum support just float on the drum or is there a connection I am missing?
Thanks, once I get the solenoids cleaned up and wired, I'll be sealing the whole thing.Just don't forget to use a gasket or sealant between the top and bottom halves so you don't lose your lube.
I figure the wire rope will cover the drum and the brake is red as a warning.I'd wipe all that blood off of it too
