Warn 8274 or 9.5XP

This is a generic question regarding Warn winch motors. Did Warn make these motors to be able to fit multiple winches? Sounds like the 9.5xp 6hp motor can fit a 8274 and perhaps the M10,000 winch as well. So the bolt pattern must be universal. I believe both 8274 and my M10000 winches came with the 4.5hp motor, no?

I believe so the bolt pattern is only two bolts and its a standard spline pattern. My 8274 had a 2.4 motor and we replaced it with a 6HP motor from a 9.5xp.

The warn guys will correct me. But we have no issue with the new 6HP motor in a old model 8274.
