This is a 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser. It has 168k miles and runs and drives very well. it is not pretty. It has roof rust and body damage. It would be a very good candidate for a body swap. The frame is in good condition and was coated the majority of its life. The rear C-channel section has the typical rust, but is solid. The gas tank is clean. I had it out recently and replaced the pickup tubes and sending unit. The suspension is an OME with front AAL’s and may have 200 miles on it. Almost full tread 33” MT MTZ’s on 15x8 KMC wheels. The knuckles have been rebuilt with new Koyo wheel bearings. It has new upgraded 4runner brake calipers and machined 4runner rotors. New extended brake hoses throughout. The clutch was replaced by the previous owner at around 160k miles. It has new tie rods and adjustment tubes. It has a Detroit rear locker and a front Spartan locker. Fluid was recently changed in the axles, transmission and transfer case. I have a complete rebuild kit for the T-case from Cruiser Outfitters. The engine runs extremely well. It doesn’t smoke and starts every time without hesitation. It has been desmogged. It was setup for a Sniper, but was returned to a carburetor. It can easily be returned to a Sniper. It currently has a new Holley 350 2bbl with a Bolduc off-road kit installed. It will run almost vertical. It has all Redline adapters and a Lokar throttle cable. It has a TPI HEI, new wires and plugs. New fuel pump and new hoses to the tank. New battery, new headlight upgrade(not installed). The AC works. The heat works. All gauges work like they should. It has an early design Trail Tailor bumper that I retrofitted for a winch. There is not much rust in the truck other than the roof. The body has some decent dents from trail 16 at Windrock. You could honestly drive it daily pretty reliably if you wanted, I did, for about a month while I was repairing another vehicle. It will maintain 65-70 on the interstate pretty well. I’m not sure how to price it. I may be a little high. I have roughly 10k in it with what I paid for it….maybe more. I’ll do $8300 with the rear locker or $7500 without the rear Detroit and I’ll put spider gears back in it. I’ll also consider some trades. A 1st gen Tacoma, other Land Cruisers, whatever it is it has to be 4wheel drive. I will post more pics later.
