Shawn -

Cool pics- thanks for sharing. That 40 of your doesn't look like the same truck!

Man that was a long time ago. On the far left of the picture is Chris Scully, I see him around every now and then.

I like this one. Guy in the back pushing forward and two guys in the front pushing backwards. :D

I MISS MY FJ 60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dollar for dollar, best rig, bang for the buck, utility, etc. You can drive it to work all week and fill it w/ enough junk to sustain a cross country trip, get there, get back, and empty it out, and be back at work.

It got about 1 gallon per mile less than a 40, and it was comfortable and quiet- and that was with a 2F.

Those who know me- it was running about the best I'd ever remembered it right before it died in the wreck.

CruiserGreg got sick of me whining about how it didn't run so we took the carb apart after some local fool rebuilt it not me-

The secondaries weren't opening because of a vacuum leak from a loose connection- there was dust built up where it'd been sucking air-
cleaned it and tightened it and viola! It ran great!

Don't worry David. As I recally your 60 lives on in Da'40. I believe I used your 60 knuckles to convert over to disk brakes on the front.

I missed my FJ60 also when I sold it to keep the FZJ80. The 60 had more leg room, the seat was more comfortable on a long trip then the 80. The 60 also had a better "coolness Factor" to it. I missed it when I sold it, never missed the 80 when I traded it in on a Tacoma. But the auto transmission sure was nice on the 80.

I haven't had much time to miss my 60. So far the only thing I miss is the rugged styling. The 100 just says bland, mall cruiser. I still have pictures of my 60 scattered all over all my computers so I have regular sightings.
