I can come over and grab the 70 rear bumper please.

Sorry was napping after an intense shed cleaning session. .. but it'll still be in there when you get back.
Ok, thanks. Will get to you when I return. If the 60 running boards are still there when I get back I'll grab them, but let them go if someone wants em.

Looking for a 40 series blower motor and the box that mounts it to the firewall. Extra bonus if it is 24v

A guy I work with is selling his trailer and asked me to post this here. He pulls it around with his '99 100 series. See attached.

What I would be interested in is a set 70 series springs if they were cheep enough. Apparently you can throw them on a 40 without moving any hangers even though they are an inch or two longer. With the right shackle you get a nice angle and a better ride/flex. If they came with the axle...!

I'll have a decent set of those for sale, just not for a little while. Still holding up a truck at the moment

Very interesting... I'd like to get my hands on a couple of those main leaves also.

The spring eyes are bigger than pre 1980 40 series springs. All that means is you need a set of two different sized spring bushings for every shackle. I think...

The suspension on the 70-series was based on the rigid leaf springs of the 40-series. While the leaf width and thickness was virtually unchanged, the interval between the right and left leaves was widened (+14mm in the front, +30mm in the rear), and an anti-roll stabilizer was added.

... Sort of...

I've done this (small eye -> big eye)... you need to take a bit off the ends of the bushings as well (since they're different sizes) and then comes the fun part. The bolts are different sizes, which means for the ones in the frame mounted hangers you need the newer bolts, this of course isn't so hard, but the shoulder on the newer bolts is a different size then the holes in the frame (they look like they have a washer or something welded on but in reality this is what takes the weight of the truck on the big side. (See the arrow below). Anyway they're bigger, which means you need a friend with a lathe to turn them down a little and make them fit. I took a case of beer to the machine shop at camosun and found a volunteer pretty quickly.

On the shackle end you'll still need the smaller bushings, but drilled out for the larger hole. So this means you need to buy two sets of bushings.
