Where I work will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans' Day. I'd posted in the Nov. workday thread that I couldn't come on Saturday, but hoped to wheel this Friday or next Monday as I just can't wait for our next official outing.JohnVee has said he is available next Monday and after checking around with a few Charlotte area guys whose numbers I have, Josh has said he can join us.In case anyone else will/can be off that day and wants to join us for a daytrip, the more the merrier. While there are no set plans as of yet, I suspect we'll meet up somewhere on the northside of Charlotte right off I-485 and head up to URE together in a caravan. Please post up if you care to join us.

I want to go but I don't have Herman registered yet so I decided to sleep a little that morning (Since I just got off night shift) and then work on changing all the fluids and some of the electrical components out with the GF. If you guys want to stop by for a beer on your way back let me know. I am in Huntersville just off exit 23 on I77. I will have plenty of beverages both leaded and unleaded. I would love to see your guys cruisers and meet some more of the club.

@ Chris - I suspect we won't be venturing towards Huntersville on our ways back home but if things change, we'll try to call and give you some advance warning.

@ Darin - Seeing as how you are a Veteran, I would be honored if you would join us on Veterans' Day. Rather than twisting your arm, I'd like to buy your lunch at the Outpost as a sign of my thanks for your service.

Plans right now are to have the Charlotte area guys (John, John's friend, Josh and me) meet near the junction of 24/27 (aka Albemarle Road) and I-485 on Monday around 9:30 am, so as to miss most of rush hour traffic, to caravan to URE. Darin, and anyone else that is interested, we should probably be at the Outpost around 10:30 am.

I hate to miss the clean-up day tomorrow. Sounds like great weather for the work that will be done.

it looks like Evan and I may be going...

we're getting ready..see you at 930

Well the weather forecast was wrong. We got drenched and the moderate trails were treacherous at times. We only rode for a few hours before deciding it was best to call it quits before anyone did any body damage. Here is a group shot.

David, I saw you guys go by the office this morning. I was down at the green building and I was green with jealousy! I tried your mobile but no answer

The Sunday ride at Logan's Run was during rain and the trails were slick as snot. Fun but scary, not knowing when you would slide into a tree or worse. What an adrenaline rush! Glad everyone came out unscathed.

I saw your sales office and Logan's truck but somehow didn't see you. Not sure why my phone didn't even ring.

Looking forward to seeing you later this month. I sure hope the weather is better.

In the Rain

Wow. The rain sure changed the trails. I'm happy we went, though. I did some stuff I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have done without the other 4 trucks there for support (or maybe pressure). The coolest thing was watching Sean's stock 80 in my rearview and wondering how he did it. Maybe I won't need as much lift as I think if I get one.

The rain kind of hampered the picture taking so I didn't get many, and these were the best I got. Some guy in a black 80 probably got some more that he should email me to post up. Maybe some of me? I hate how hard it is to get a shot of how difficult the terrain really is.

By the way, I bang my head on the body every time I stick it out the window like this...:bang:

Amen. Tried Dutch John with the new ruts in the storm a couple weeks back. Boy was that fun with open diffs on 35s!
