Kinda depends on what you're going to do with it ('70 has body rib that makes upgrading to disc brakes challenging/$$). But if you're going to run it as a stocker (recommended, cut up some other truck if you want a trail brawler), @ $7K, assuming:
1. It cranks and provides good compression numbers in all cylinders.
2. The trans and TC shift easily and balance of driveline is sound (miles on clutch and clutch master holds pressure).
3. But critical issue is condition of frame (must be solid for that kinda cashola, check the frame rail next to the muffler and the rear shackle hangers and angled supports to rear crossmember/bumper).
4. The other critical issue is the condition of tub, especially the rear sill and the floors and rockers on both driver's and passenger's sides, and both rear wheel wells (check supports in wheel wells). As suggested above, definitely run a magnet over the driver's side rear corner above the taillight, looks like bondo sculpture ta me (there was a reason for the repaint).
Oh, and that engine is the F, not a 2F, but that's OK, it's still a great engine. Pull the plugs out and give 'em the eyeball. Give the oil a look/sniff (contaminated with gas indicating possible cylinder wall wash?). Check coolant and squeeze radiator hoses to see if they've gone ... uh, flaccid. Pull the fuel line off, donate a new filter to the cause, run the fuel line into a can of fresh gas, and while the plugs are out, spin it over to build compression, check with gauge (compression and oil pressure), add a teaspoon of oil (or Marvel Mystery to lube up the rings) and re-run spin test to see if compression changes (indicating tired rings versus poor valve sealing), install plugs, and with a little ether up 'is nose, the ole boy outta roar to life with a fresh batt providing the electrons. That might make the price go up tho ....
Overall it appears to be a very solid, complete, unmolested rig, worth the effort to check out carefully and negotiate respectfully. Not $11K, but definitely quite nice (take cash ... a stack of Mr. Franklins can be most persuasive) . Bottom line is always what a ready, willing, and able buyer will pay, not what armchair Cruiser nuts (like me, for example) think. GL, let us know how it goes!
