anyone know what size (ID) is needed here? 3.5 and 5.5 are too small

I think I used 3/8" fuel line for that vent pipe. Whatever size it is, they'll have it at your local Autoparts store

I have not. I would recommend going to McMaster-Carr if you're not using OEM hoses.
