Sorry for the super-late notice, but these plans just kind of fell together a little while ago.

A group is meeting at the Eldorado Outpost at 10:00am tomorrow for a day of wheeling. Folks are coming from Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro and Charlotte.

Right now it looks to be a bunch of Rovers and me. Come out and increase the Cruiser representation!!!

Will do. Man, did it pour all night long! It's going to be a muddy mess today!!

ditto.. PICS!!!!!!!!!!

Got back a bit earlier. It rained at Uwharrie until early morning so it was a muddy, slick mess as expected. JP and Marshall saw first hand how inadequate the NTG AT's are when filled with dirt / mud last weekend at Capt. Jim's. Surprisingly, they did a lot better today but I am definitely headed for some 34" MTR's in the near future. It would make a world of difference.

I'll try and get some pics posted but most of them are fairly lame as I was busy keeping the beast on the trail and sliding to a minimum.

Here are some pics. They aren't that great and mostly Rovers. It was 8 Rovers, 1 Cruiser. They called the 100 "the Toyota" all day on the radios. A few underhanded comments but not too bad considering all the Grey Poupon I was surrounded by... :grinpimp:

After personally owning 2 POS Range Rovers and a Super-POS Defender 90, I just smiled and kept my mouth shut. Needed Richard riding gun. :D

helmet. hee hee hee

That was actually a pretty PO'd 4wheeler who had to wait while all of the trucks got through a tricky section - where Alex flooded his 40's carb on the steep hill climb in the fall. It was dry then, it is tougher in the slick mud like this past weekend.

Anyway, 4wheeler helmet Dan wasn't happy or polite - I wouldn't have been either though, his wife was riding with him on the back and had me by about 50lbs...

Now THATS good commentary folks. :D

I think there needs to be some rocks in that steep climb. Right now it's mostly just a steep mud slick you have to keep momentum up.

Good pics andy.
