I have a 2022 Tundra that has the motor replacement recall. I wanted to get the groups opinion and what to do. On paper a motor replacement sounds like a no brainer but I don't trust a dealer to install a new motor as good as the factory. My fear is there will be some harnesses that was damaged or a gasket not installed correctly which could lead a bunch of frustrations in the future. The truck has 55,000 miles and runs like a top. My gut is telling me that if it hasn't blown up yet then it's probably not going to. I am also concerned I may have trouble selling it in the future if I don't complete the recall. I plan on keeping it for at least 200,000 miles probably beyond that.
My questions are:
If you were me would you get a free motor replacement from Toyota? If so, then who is a "reliable" dealer?
Honest opinions are are welcomed
