Circling back, I also use the BA10 Toyota adapter.

thanks man, cheaper than power probe and amazon delivers it to oz. our market is tiny compared to the States

It sounds ridiculous but like at least 25% of the reason I moved back to the US was amazon.

When you guys are referring to Techstream, are you guys paying $1,600 for it?

No, generally we run cracked versions available on eBay.

One important note about that.. if you go that route there are two broad adapter versions available. One is called MiniVCI and while basic functions like code read and reset should work, no one seems to be able to get functions like Live Data or TPMS programming to run. The other broad category is VCX Nano, which is a bit more expensive (though still affordable considering the capabilities it grants) but those functions have worked well for many of us.

Also note that this software will trip malware alerts on your computer but it does appear to be harmless, just a part of how the key reset software works. Considering that many of us choose to run it on an older computer we don’t care as much about.
