Has anyone upgraded their lows to a LED kit? The Phillips bulbs were not good at all. Let me know what you guys think.

I have good luck running morimoto 2stroke 2.0. It's not cheap, but great output and ease of installation.

Lots of folks here - myself included have had really good luck with Hikari LEDs for low beams.

Thanks you. So I have the 2013 which has a d4s. Will they work for that bulb type?

initially, I was thinking you have a 2008 LC200 which have halogen. But for 2013, you have HID headlight, which is good output already. My recommendation will not work. LED bulb mostly is for halogen bulb replacement.
If you need more light output which HID cannot provide, you might else installed some LED pods or light bar.

Coming from doing a lot of research on HID vs LED on my 4Runner (stock projector low beams), it is hard to beat a HID in a housing made for halogen. In this case, it is a housing actually made for HID. The drop in LED bulbs are getting better, but still don't quite match the visible light from an HID bulb and the LED bulbs don't work as well with headlight housings that weren't made for them.
Now a good LED pod light, where the housing is made for the LED, produces a ton of light.

Personally my 2013 headlights are outstanding. The high beams left a bit to be desired so I tossed in Phillips HIR bulbs and now they are bright enough that large white road signs will blind me at night. But they don’t have the blue tint of many LEDs that can cause problems in snow or mist.
If you have a 13+ with headlamps you feel aren’t bright enough, make sure your lenses are clear, and everything is aimed correctly. I can’t imagine them not being enough light for the average person if working correctly.

How long has your Morimoto's lasted? I haven't seen or heard of an aftermarket HID or LED system that can last for a reasonable length of time. Most appear to be burn out very quickly. Would be great if there's a set that can last a few years.
As crappy as the OEM halogens are, they are long lasting.

Sorry, mine is a 2013 and had HID stock. I'm going on two years. They are just the bulbs, D4S.

I did convert my 100 series lights to Morimoto Bi-Xenon projectors using Depo housings, but it was a pretty involved project.

I've found the Hikari low beams to be lacking, lumens wise to other Toyota/Lexus OEM LEDs.
I've also had 2 failed in the past year.

Question: why did you go with the 4500 vs the 5500? I’m looking on their site and the 5500 is cheaper. Does the 4500 work better with the housing lendse?

Sorry, I don't remember. Odds are from a recommendation from somebody here on 'mud, but I can't say for sure. I sold that rig a couple of years ago and the 2016 200 series that I have now has different (LED) headlights.
I used Sealight X2 LED's in my GX460 in the high beams and was not super thrilled because of how intense the light was and how much reflection I got from road signs or even just the little reflectors on the ground marking lane lines. They were ultra bright but the intense white light was kind of a negative IMHO. I felt like the usable light from the 9011's I had before were better.
The beam pattern on the LED's was good though. There was no weirdness in that regard.

Stock bulbs are 4500k D4S Philips. Given technology today, LEDs will underperform HiDs in nearly every comparable housing scenario. If you are replacing halogen with LED, that is likely an upgrade. HiD replaced with LED, definitely not an upgrade.
