Old topic replay.. late model fuse panel rebuild from CityRacer's early model fuse panel. CityRacer's panel with crimp connectors are far more versatile for repaire or adding any further circuits to the system than the late model stock panel which is wired with fix crimps and usually molested with dirty connectors.
This is a solution for a clean panel by keeping the late model look. The legs of both panels are identical, so all I have done is rearranged the layout.
Its easy to remove the legs after removing the fuses by pressing gently from the fuse side with pliers.
The wires must be numbered to avoid any mistake of connecting to wrong spot. When legs are swapped over the old crimped legs are replaced with crimped commectors. Its adviseable to use shrink insulation on the new connecting crimps. The photos only show the change of panel legs, further crimps need to be done to connect wires to rebuilt panel.

That's right. This is the elusive repro mat from Australia, for the '79 to '84 model years. Before you get too pumped up, the word is that it's now been discontinued.

It's interesting how it's made. There appears to be 2 layers glued together. It's got a bit of arts and crafts feel to it, but overall the quality is compelling. I'm guessing it's made with a lot of manual effort, which is probably the reason it's not been seen in mass quantities.

Yah id rather support a mud vendor also!!!. My mat isnt in too bad shape has 2 cracks that i will fix from the back and it will be good as new.... for me anyays

Unless I find some creative way, small grommets are below the threshold from a cost perspective. However, if anyone has that grommet, please post a shot.

Regarding your earlier question about the floormat, I don't have any new update at this point. What I can share is that there is resistance from the supply chain to put the TOYOTA name on there. Nobody wants to be part of a lawsuit even if the chance is remote. The logo may have to be a separate piece that is glued on by the consumer. You'd be hard press to tell the difference if it's done right.

Don't laugh - here is my first attempt at reproducing one from a sheet of rubber and two grommets cobbled together. Not pretty but it fits nicely.

@Racer65 and I were looking into this and it would be cost prohibitive - thousands of dollars to reproduce. Here is what people are doing - the firewall heater line grommet is still available. A simple modification and it works perfectly. I glued the two pieces together but I don't think that is necessary it fits so tightly in there. The other option is to cut the hole bigger so the grommet fits without modification. That is what I plan on doing with my 75 frame off resto.

That is for the little hoop that the two heater hoses run through. I didn't realize I had that initially and I cut my OEM hoses and they're too short to fit through that hoop.
