Can you take a couple more pic's using a flash or in sunlight for more contrast? Can't really see any detail of the rims.
But that block on white looks awesome! Now you just need to black out the chrome.

Kenda's really making some moves in the off road tire space. I hadn't really heard much about them until recently, and mostly knew them for MTB tires. I went with the Klever AT2 instead of the RT for the supposed better snow/ice performance, in 285/70. They're also super cheap compared to any other tire from a reputable manufacturer in size.

They also have an MT?

I do love me some chunky rubber on the GX. 285/70/17 seems like the perfect size for look and performance.

So glad to see a few more GXs on 33s with no lift. I am going to need tires before my lift and plan to buy 33" KO2 (275/70R18) on stock wheels. I've seen a few people do that and it doesn't look like too much trouble to get rid of the rubbing.

Really like your setup. I've got a 4Runner I beat on but want to make our GX more capable for family trips. Are those the LFD crossbars up top? I've got them on my 4Runner but the GX460 models look so different I haven't pulled the trigger for some on my GX. I don't need a full rack and the factory options are very underwhelming.

Yeah the only thing I've seen that utilizes the factory rails are either factory cross bars, or the LFD bars (that looks like what he is running). But I've read the GX470 factory rails fit the GX460 and have a nice T-slot that you can custom make some cross bars out of 80/20 type extrusions. I've got some off my GX470 I'm thinking I might try to use on the GX460, but not sure if I want to stick money into the factory rack when I am lusting after an aftermarket rack so bad.

Yes, I originally went with 4 of the LFD bars, but two works a lot better for what I need (carrying a race canoe and cargo box). I have an extra set of 4, if you are local. 2+ extra inches of ground clearance really makes a difference even for driving through urban grass ditches at soccer games and over curbs and mild 2-tracks. I’m sure many here will still consider it a “mall crawler,” but it really does fit my needs well.

LT285/70R17 Revo3s

I cupped my pizza cutter MTRs and my all seasons I run in the winter got a screw that ran into the sidewall long ways.

While I had been hoping to be able to wait until I got my bonus to order something fun, it wasn't in the cards. I called around to the different tire chains in Des Moines and it was between these the XTs, AT KOs, and Terra Grapplers. Since I have been much more honest about how much offroad I will actually be doing over the next 18 months, I wanted to get something that was much friendlier on the highway and would work with the sound proofing I have recently done.

The tires are definitely a 10 ply in how they ride but that being said, they ride great for a 10 ply. They are relatively quiet and when I leave my parking garage, if my windows are down, I can barely hear the tires. Beyond that, I havent pushed them as I like to be gentle with tires until they have fully released all the oils from manufacturing.

Aesthetically they look great and the truck has a lot more presence. I have only run pizza cutters and the factory size.

I did get a very slight amount of rub when backing up with the wheel turned a wee bit shy of full lock. It was very light. I have already pushed the front and rear plastics back and used a ziptie in place of the pesky screw.

What can I say, I love Roadkill.

My method center caps (same model) also are delaminating. Not happy with my first aftermarket wheel purchase. Though I like the initial look and the stance.

Edit: called method and they are sending me different center caps free of charge. They said it was a known issue. No hassle. Now just to wait for them to show up sometime mid January 🤞🏻
Just got my replacement center caps yesterday. Now I'm waiting until my next maintenance to install them while I do an oil change, brakes (again), and a tire rotation.

Interesting detail: those wheels are no longer offered by Method. Maybe they know something I don't, or am in the process of figuring out for myself. They had a real nice OEM style which made me like them, but now most of their products have fake bead lock rings and flat faces. Nice looking wheels for more heavily modified trucks but nothing that would pass for OEM any more.

New and watch hasn't worked so. Sub'd.

Motegi Trailite 17x8.5 0 offset. 275/70r17 Wildpeaks, C rated. Had to zip tie the running board back and move the fender well forward in the front. No heat gun. Zero rubbing on-road, even at full lock. Tire is about 1/2 inch from the cab mount.

I have run pizza cutter and mid width 33s on factory wheels with only getting rubbing after building up mud and fully flexing out with the wheel at between 30-70% cranked, the corner if the tire will catch on build up or once in a blue moon doing very tight turns. I push my front fenderliners forward by removing the hardware and making new holes further back and I used zipties to hold the back part of the liner.

The 285/70s definitely run a bit tighter than the 33x10.5/25580R17 32s usually will fit without having to push fenderliners depending on alignment. Also, on the salt belt your LCAs may be seized and unalienable, as my passenger side is.

Other than in extreme mud the Revo 3s have been reliable on the trail and amazing on road for E Load Range.

Did you do a full size spare, too?

265/65 r18 falken wildpeaks. Really liking this tire, but also liked the toyo open countrys that were on it before (same size). With this size and the removed running boards, have not really had a reason to lift it. Updated the suspension, though, with bilstein 5100s

How are the 5100s holding up? I plan to do the go with those and stock springs in the near future as I loved them on my last 4Runner. My GX does seem to have a bit more dive under braking than the 4R and was wondering if the Bilsteins helped eliminate any of that.

Once they break in they are awesome. A little too firm during break in but that doesn't last. Break dive and pulling from wind are dramatically reduced.
