I want to have my Ultragauge calibrated for distance so that all of the information it displays is accurate. I've followed these instructions:

To perform the distance calibration follow this procedure:
1. Align front tire with first mile marker
2. Reset the trip gauges: MENU THEN Gauge Menu THEN Zero All Trip
3. EXIT THE MENU
4. Travel to the 3rd mile marker (at 50+MPH), aligning the front tire to the mile marker
5. Select: Menu THEN Vehicle Setup THEN Calibration THEN Calibrate Distance
6. Change the value shown to 3.000 miles*, using the UP and DOWN keys
7. Press Menu to save and set the calibration

Only problem is, I get to step 5 and when I click Calibrate Distance it errors out saying no distance.

Tried this multiple times, same result.

Anybody figured this out?

No. I diddnt know this was possible. I'll try it out. Does it keep the calibration even after the battery gets disconnected?

Yes, it keeps the calibration until it is reset. Of course, you have to get it to calibrate first :)

Hey musthave, I did this over the summer and may not remember it correctly, but have you tried "Calibrate distance" initially, then drive x miles using mile markers, THEN go back in a second time to Vehicle Setup, Calibration, Calibrate Distance and adjust that figure?

I want to say I had to hit "Calibrate distance" first before driving, then after stopping do it again and just adjust to the correct distance.

Just did it again, that worked!

Great, now all of my Ultragauge info is working and accurate for a change.
