Is anyone running these on a 80 series ?16x8 wheel and 35" tire?

Just personal opinion, if you are buying new wheels and tires, go 17's more options. I know they say 16's are slowly phasing out but they seem to hang in there.

Thats the thing, i went and bought new tires last year in the 16" size since I was running the stock wheels. I would go 17" now if I was to buy a tire and wheel package. My lack of foresight costs me again! Lol.
I only average about 2-3k miles a year on this truck so it may be a while before the tires need replacing.

Those are some good looking wheels ! Are bead locks street legal ? Not that I ever really cared about such things and I'd imagine any cop who knew what a bead lock actually was probably wouldn't either.

I'm running a 17x9 Ultra Badlands wheel w/ 35" KM2s right now and I think if your rim width is small enough you can air down pretty low w/o losing a bead.

I also ran the same 16 vs 17 debate through my head when I found my 80. Still have the factory wheels and been debating a set of TSLs for trail use. . .

For me its the ability to quadruple my contact patch for snow , I had to pass up on one of my favorite high mountain lakes earlier this year, if I had double bead locks I would have had a private lake!
That and the ability to patch a tire or run an emergency tube to get home..

Yeah, they do weigh a bit more but then all bead locks do, I understand close to steel wheel weight. I have looked on line and have read anywhere from 45lbs to 60lbs a wheel.. Its hard to find good detailed specs on them even from the manufacturer.
