a properly built hatch will kill an s2K

if you really like blind spots and going backwards thru ATMs and drive thrus many people do their own RHD coversions using JDM half cuts.

No souped up ricer for me guys.

I'm staying in stock class to start. I also want a very simple vehicle to work on and I want it C-H-E-A-P. I'm not saying I won't consider something besides a Bug...

What about a Mercury Cougar. RWD, some had turbo 4 bangers, but most had the 5.0 like the Mustang. Only made 150-200HP, but add some stock Mustang H.O. parts on it and you would be over 225HP easy. 3000# stock, but I am sure you could lighten that by 300-400#'s

Or the old Mercury Topaz came with AWD in a 2 door coupe for a little while.

Plus the newer FWD Cougars are really nice and reliable. They had 5 speeds and the 2.5L V6 (developed by Porsche) with about 170HP and weighs about 2800#'s. You can get some stock SVT engine parts that they put on the Contour to boost power and still maybe be stock. Or go to a supercharger, turbo, tuning, etc. later.

Stock class = roll cage, racing seats, harness and a fuel cell (if you want). You can remove the floor mats but much anything else and you are out of stock so there won't be any mods for a long time.

Hmmmm.....

She'll kill me. I think we already have plans for it.

Thats awesome. Making it the center of a bonfire at the annual meet is a great idea.

I could have sworn i joined a landcruiser club????

I have always wanted an older convertible. My grandfather has a 69 ford falcon convertible. I remember cruising in it with my uncle in the 80's. Total chick magnet.

the miata is probably the best/cheapest stock performing car you can find.

My buddy went from a modded civic in wich he was ranking about 30th in auto X to about 19th ranking overall in a stock miata.

the civic was a turbo charged 1.6 SOHC putting about 200 to the wheels.

he later built a custom intake manifold, turbo manifold and boosted the snot out of the stock forged internal block the miata came with. Tuned it on megasquirt.

Granted it was no v8 killer from light to light or on the drag strip it was running with STI's and EVO's on the auto X. In a miata you can have too much power.

Now he's putting a stock LS1 engine into an 89 RX7 with gutted interior and roll cage. Different class now but much more competitive.

Who cares, all cars are gay. If you own a car you're gay. If you drive autoX and Rally a Baja bug your gay. If you own a Bimmer you are super gay, and if you own an old Bimmer you are 80's gay.:flipoff2:

Have a good weekend.:)

What about an 80's or early 90's white Vette with a red leather interior...then you are Miami Vice gay
