Got a buck that says the issue is still in the pinion bearing. Vibration AND a "growl" or just vibration?

14yrs and 166,000+ miles...only newish at this point. I've been wondering if the axle break may play into it. There's a pretty tight correlation with the timing. I had initially thought that the new wheel bearing might have been screwed up at the machine shop that did the install, but I can't get symptoms to repeat with left-right turning of the vehicleI would be surprised (not shocked, but surprised) if a pinion bearing was going out on a fairly new 4Runner.

I thought the drive shaft might need a rebuild. I grease it up every 3,000 miles, on the last one there was a bit of water that squeezed out ahead of the grease...
