Rushed a storage/sleeping platform into fruition last week for a trip this past weekend. Nice to have some organization and containment plus brodi loves watching the scenery go by without having to lift more than an eyebrow.

Still have to add some tie downs and build a slide platform for back right cubby for the future home to a fridge. Should probably have put sealer on it to help with temp changes and swell/shrink

It's somewhat of a modular design. Definitely a design as you go build. Built in three sections. It could be run with second row seats if they ever new to go back in. The front section houses a 13gal front runner water tank. The second section has 2 20x22" boxes with hinged access and the rear section is two 36x20" cubbies. No plans for actual drawers as I'm sure it's heavy enough and I built them around the dimensions of the wolf pack storage boxes from front runner. I have a feeling 4 will make there way into my packing scenario. Two inside and two on top left side rear cubby. Right side will e fridge on a slide. Currently there is a slide in panel there to make one level platform

Added up quicker than I thought but ended up under 350.... 437.xx but as with any good project some new tools were in order :bounce2:

Initial impressions. I like em. Lost a lil space at the price of better organization. And man does the 80 ride great now!!! Kinda wondering how much they weigh. Attic rack will likely have to go as its challenging enough getting dressed on a cold morning with 10" less headroom.

I like the carpet!!

So that one panel just lifts off so you can mount the fridge?

Yes. Back right cubby just has a panel cut to slide flush in place when no fridge. Supported from below by two side rails of 3/4 ply glued and tacked to inside of box

In the 8 years and coming up on 100k miles I've had the pleasure of driving Moonshine for, this is only the second set of brand new tires she's ever had. Looking forward to using these for a long time to come!

Just came 30 minutes ago via uship.

I'll be interested in your feedback on these. When the DuraTracs on the Power Wagon wear out, I'll likely go to something along this route ...

that was quick! interested to see how they wear on a heavier rig.... fj40z ran them on his 2010 tacoma but they went kinda fast.
Either way im sure youll love the new found power and maybe even a few less decibles

I'm interested to see how they wear as well! I'll make sure to provide plenty of opinions on them over the next couple of years :D

As a follow-up, got some wiring components to build new battery cables!

Well they are about 40" at the mid seam :flipoff2:

Had no idea you even had drawers. But seeing as how its the same square of realty there's only so many ways you can slice it up.

I've had this sketch floating around my work journal for a couple years and finally acted on it. Too bad I lost the lateral cubby in actual construction. It was for axles an driveshafts but I felt it compromised the size of th two front cubbies more than desired. Guess ill have to not break s*** instead :D

What goes immediately behind the front seats below the platform? That's where I store driveshafts/high lift/axle shafts. Weight is low and forward.
