Sharpened complete drill index today 1/64 to 1/2 by 64th Ughhhhhhhh:bang:

The only thing I can add on the Sears Platinum is that if you do go with the blue marine battery, be aware that the terminals are opposite and you will need to have the cables set up for that. That battery is pretty much the same CCA's as the starter, so if you have the ability to link or auto link like with a IBS system, looking at having two marine batteries may be an option, as well.

So, since a gravel/dirt driveway and small garage limits ability to do quality cruiser work, we had some work done this week. Cannot wait to put it to use.

It was touch and go all day yesterday. It was get it done or wait till spring. My concrete guy was incredible to work with. No clue how but it only sprinkled at the house while I was getting dumped on in GSO at work.

Will PM you some questions. Have a little driveway work I wish to do as well.

absolutely. He's such a nice guy. honest and reasonable quote. He also told me that while the bobcat was here, if there was anything I wanted done that he would do it at no charge while we waited on the concrete to show up. I'll gladly get you his info.

I'm not sure where this question belongs, but in both my 62 and now my 60; when it's cold the interior windows fog up really bad. Nothing I do (heat on max, AC on max) works. I end up having to drive with the windows down. What gives?

You might have some leaky gaskets. I know if I leave my window open in the rain, or if I put anything wet in the car, it does that. You got a dehumidifier? I'd run that in the truck for a few hours. Might help.

Somehow water is getting in. In addition to the above, I would check for a plugged drain from the box where the heater code / Air conditioning do-hicky is or a leaking heater core ....

Also keep in mind that they are big green houses with no ventilation most of the time. Condensation collects up inside the roof line by the gutter on the inside. That is why you see so much rust above the gutter line, when you cut out the effected sheet metal you see the extensive rust on the inside metal as well.

Every LC I have/had gets like that. Perfect time to go in with some clean towels and wipe down all the windows :)

For its next trick it's gonna start to stink.

Yep ... if a long drive with the heat AND AC compressor on does not dry it out then water is getting in.

Will run a dehumidifier.

AC charged?

Yes.

I didn't run the heat with the AC compressor turned on. I meant running heat on max or cold on max with AC on. I'll try heat + AC later today.

If you don't own a pressure washer, get one. I use Simple Green and it takes even the thickest mung off with some pressure washer love. Sparkly clean parts and hardware are a lot more fun to deal with when not covered in gritty, oily grime. This old girl had a pretty thick coat of the stuff.

I know that tuck. It was parked in my yard for long time. The previews owner try to push it up hill and damage the drivers door. I want to see it after you do your magic with it.

One note of caution re Simple Green - it is corrosive on aluminum (at least certain alloys) so be careful with it and make sure you rinse it completely off of any aluminum parts .... Don't ask me how I know this :bang:

I have heard that in the past Sam, a special aviation formula was mentioned at the time. I've never had an issue with it myself, but I pressure wash the snot out of everything, nothing left behind. I have done my own trucks for years, do it while running when I can.
