Thats great to hear, I found that video and even ordered a cheap set of panel removal tools, so the install today should be pretty straight forward. I am going to get the Apple Lightning to 30 Pin adaptor so we can use my fiance's iPhone 4 as well as my iPhone 5.
I hope your install goes smoothly, I am a samsung Android person so the Apple jack will only get use by friends.

ipadholdr.com and sugru.com = awesome ipad mini mount. Have mine integrated into the Alpine head unit through the USB (which also carries enough juice to charge the ipad).

I would like to do this if i can find the right Android tablet for the job. If not I'll have to find a compatible Apple with GPS. Thanks for the links dan!

GTA Install went super smooth, very straight forward. The iPhone 4 connection and connection with 30pin to Lightning adaptor work great! I tested my XM radio with the 3.5mm Aux and have a slight buzz, must be the 12v outlet I am plugging it into? Very happy with the GTA Kit, especially for the price.

* The factory Bluetooth still overrides when there is an incoming call, something I was not sure if it would or not.

It must be the xm, I have zero buzz but everything is handheld. Glad to hear the install went so smoothly.

First suspension parts to come in

I wish I would have seen this stuff about the GTA kit. My GX had a VAIS unit already installed, but I was more interested in adding an AUX port for my satellite receiver. I went as far as drilling the dash to put in an AUX port and adding it into the CD player harness, but the sound level was WAY too low. I ended up scrapping that and putting a USB charger in its place. Now I'm just using the hardwired FM antenna antenna kit for the Sirius and the setup is good enough. But I think AUX is the better setup for satellite.

That sounds like a task Marc, I bypassed the whole XM craze but figured they would have something better to offer in the accessibility department.

FJ Springs came in along with a few extra stickers I requested

I'm personally sure on the snorkel but I'm sure someone will chime in. The tires I ran on my 4th gen and they are actually very quiet. I would say BFG AT quiet if not close or better.

Finally I can get started on the lift. The parts look so nice they could go in a glass case. I will always run Radflo and looking forward to trying this setup out. 2.5" extended travel front and rear.

I got the snorkel from Will at Sierra expeditions. The Cooper Tires are not loud on HWY at all
Thanks
Seth

We were finally able to get the lift put on the Lexus after a few hangups and such. I've never had to fool with air bags when doing a lift before so it look a little longer than expected after sorting everything out. I am more than happy with the lift and the ride quality of the parts. The truck has about 3/4" rake on it with the 3.5" Lift FJ coils. The running boards have been removed and the passenger side damaged ABS wire was cut out with a new one spliced in.

Now I'm just waiting for the SCS container to come in with my SC8 wheels so I can buy tires. After I get the tires on and see where I am rubbing I may run a 1" Body lift but still in the air about it until I get it on the trail and see how it does when it's legs are stretched.

looking great man, what kind of hiccups did you run in with the rear? did you cut the air bag lines?

Nothing too troublesome, it was just mostly what we should/ needed to take out with the air bags. I noticed what I believed to be the height sensors have barackets on them that have to be bent or removed so they dont rub on anything once the lfit is in. You'll see a hose running to both bags that you simply just pull from the top of the bags so no cutting needed. There's just a lot of junk you wont need anymore thats a pain to work around. Everything had an additional step or two compared to the other 120's I've lifted. You only have to pull two fuses which was simple thanks to some interweb searching.

So did you remove much of the airbag related stuff? I have a prado grande (same as the lexus, but with the 1GR and I recently completed the coil conversion on mine. Just wondering if it's worth the effort to remove the compressor, the sensors and all that stuff.

I had all mine removed when ACC did the rear work. Just extra weight.

We removed the sensors and anything that may get in the way of articulation with the new setup. At the very least take the sensors out. As time allows I'll look into the lines and compressor but they don't cause any issues being there.

I did the Fog Light mod today while waiting for my wheels to come in.

I am so happy to post that my SCS SR8 wheels have finally arrived. Looking forward to getting these mounted as soon as I get my tires.
