Looking at these 18" Tundra wheels on local Craigslist. The seller says they are OEM take offs and I saw he put Moto Metal wheels on his Tundra so it matches his story. The rims say Toyota on the back with a part number but also say Made in China. Did Toyota manufacture any of their wheels in China or are these replicas?

Do you have pictures of the back side with the markings?

Yes, China is correct.

Looks legit.

Thanks! Pretty disappointed Toyota makes their stuff in China but then again who doesn't. Planning on doing a satin black powder coat and getting some decent tires. These should fit without any issues or spacers correct?

Toyota may operate a foundry in China to save money, and still maintain high QC levels with good supply chain and process management. Not saying this is the case, just that there are economic factors relating to large industrial processes that dictate where stuff is “made”. The worry comes when there are lapses in QC from distant management and oversight of the manufacturing.

Of course humanitarian HR policies are key too.

Thanks for the reply everyone much appreciated. Will post an update and pics once they're on the truck.

The more common Tundra TRD Pro wheels are also forged in China. The latest BBS TRD ones I think are forged in Japan.
