Tundra tire wear issue

I've read a lot off issues concerning the brakes. The last dealer said I had a brake pulsation while I felt it in the past I don't feel it muck any more. I'm wondering if that could be contributing to my issue.

Update: My truck appears to be starting to chop my newest (4th set) of front tires again. I have alignment spes saying the front end is perfect. I have also noticed that I have a shimmy in the wheel that is intermittent. Unrealated to me hitting the brakes.

Test drove a new Tundra to compare as I was thinking about dumping the truck back on Toyota. While it was a lot better it still had a minor vibration and I'm worried I would be in the same position again in 2 years.

That and the state of RI makes you pay the full sales tax on a Truck purchase even if you trade it in. So intead of paying taxes on the net of about $9k it would be 7% on the entire $35,000. I can't wait to move out of this state.

Moving just over the boarder turned out to be one of my better decisions... RI has taken tax to a new level.

Move to NH not mass. Mass sucks. Live free or die!!!

Why not?

I think I'm going to sell the tundra and buy a beater. I think I'm paying $1800+ in taxes annually.

How far back does the lemon law go. I know they are going to blame it on the tires if I try to go that route.

I wish I was paying what you were paying. The wifes car is another $1k

I've checked out a few Tundras and they all where riding a little higher on the passenger side. I'm thinking it's to help keep the truck level in turns as we typically take left hand turns faster.

It does suck that these trucks do this.

i know this thread is about tires, but i just had a question if anyone tows with theirs? i saw a baddass looking crew cab 4x4 the other day. i've been lightly looking at getting a 2500 to tow my scrambler around, and never even considered the tundra till seeing this one...
Anyone have any real-world advice for towing with a tundra?
thanks

I towed over 8000lb down to rausch and back and the truck did awesome. I also towed a 4000lb camper up north a few times with very little effort.
The tundra's have great power, but what I realy like is how comfortable they are. I can ride all day long in one no problem.
I know leaping deer is not liking his but I have had no problems with mine and I love it.

Mine towed fine for the first 2.5 years before I had a problem. I think I'm going to trade it in on an SUV for the wife. Then get a used 3/4 or 1 ton. I'm guessing there will be some good deals this summer with gas at $5+

Gas mileage to rausch? And what was your average speed? Did you have trailer brakes?

I was running late on that trip to rausch so I was avg 75mph, even up some of those big mountains, which brought the mileage down to 10-11mpg, and yes it had trailer brakes.
If I took my time I most likely would of gotten 13mpg.
Unloaded I avg around 17-18mpg, for a 6000lb truck with 400hp I think that is pretty good

I wou;d be happy with 13 mpg. 10-11 not so much. But man going 75 mph while towing 8000lb up those mountains is impressive!
