Hey folks, just jumped over to a new forum section... picked up a 2016 Double Cab and am so far really liking it. I've had it about 2 weeks now, so far I've only done a few mods- made the back seats fold forward, added an air compressor under the hood, and painted the trim ring around the cupholder. Here are some pics of the compressor install...

Hit me up if you have any questions on any of the above, or suggestion for future mods. Looking forward to learning more about this truck in the future as well as making a few products for it... I've already been banned from Tundras.com so I think I'm off to a good start!

Welcome to the team…so how’d you get banned from tundras.com?
thanks! I dunno, all it said was "spam." I asked why but didn't get a respose to my email. I posted up a nice review of the compressor mount that I bought (guy sells them, on that forum...) and then a link to my website where I did a video about the actual compressor, and a link to his site. So maybe their admin thought I was only out to sell air compressors.. could be that I just overwhelmed them with content though as I suspect most folks who join a forum don't already have a business, website & youtube channel on day 1. I was just trying to be nice and add some value.

I had to look with a different browser, looks like all my threads and posts are deleted also. I guess they don't want me there. It's better on ih8mud anyway. :)

What is the details on that compressor? Looks like a very common one, just a different color?
check out this page: Air Solutions — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/air-solutions I put together a comparison chart and video with an air-up test comparing it to ARB Twin. Almost the exact same product, but yes different color & the compressors are now in opposing directions rather than the same orientation. Also the OVS product has a switch on top. And it costs less and has a longer warranty.

My only knock on the product at this point is the label is starting to peel up, after a month or so from being under the hood of our GX. purely cosmetic, just looks like either their adhesive or label material, or both, just isn't up for that type of environment. Here's a pic of the unit in the GX:

edit: I should also point out that OVS is aware of the issue, have seen in a couple times before, and has extra labels for anyone who wants a new one. I give them credit for being so honest and on top of it.

Welcome to ‘muds Tundra/Sequoia section! If we keep getting more traffic here, the mods might even move our section above EV and Highlander sections:ban:
