So after 4 days of searching and trying to diagnose the problem I figured it's time for me to start my own thread in order to get some adequate help. have checked the fuses and wiring to the ICS, I have also disconnected the hose from the EGR and still will not idle. I didn't however check the voltage at the ICS though. The problem started about a week ago after replacing and refreshing all my vacuum lines. As a precaution I said to myself to better change all of them so that I would not run into trouble down the line. She ran just fine after that for a couple days. Then, probably coincidentally, or perhaps I damaged something, she started to not hold the idle anymore. It sounds very sputter-y, cutting out a lot. Kind of like an old airplane engine. She also bucks a lot under light throttle. Will run just as usual under heavy throttle. Truck never idled below 1000 rpm after driving off. Only after fresh start and warming up, she'd idle at around 6 to 7 hundred. Truck ran and still runs great otherwise. I have discovered that the purple BVSV had a broken nipple but since has been fixed. She still ran fine even with the broken nipple. After searching I read that that BVSV can be bypassed anyway. I opted for a new one courtesy of a fellow forum member. The truck had a previous very partial desmog perhaps, since some vacuum lines are missing. Only 2 on the pass side of the engine. There is a white 4 or 5 way valve with 2 nipples blocked off and that's about it. Also at the carb there is a "Y' connector bringing together 2 lines that otherwise would not be together as per the diagram I have downloaded here on the forum. I will take a couple pictures and post them for reference. Any way, I don't think that's a problem as I've had the truck for more than a year and it's been perfectly fine till now. Help please. Much appreciated.
