Hey guys,

I am trying to install a P/S pump bolt, the one that runs along the channel and locks the pump in place. It seems the hole on the pump does not align with the channel slot. Either the slot bracket is too long or the pump is too short. I have tried to push the towards the bolt to try to align the holes, but no joy. Is the bracket the problem or the pump? Maybe something is stretched/worn/bent? I don't know. Pics of me showing misalignment attached.

Thanks for the help.

Loosen the bolts that hold that arm to the pump?

Wouldn't I have the same problem when putting the bracket back on?

My truck is not a 3fe so I don't have experience with this pump. Maybe there is enough gap between those bolts and bracket to wiggle it in, or elongate them to get what you need.

I got it, somehow. I removed the bracket, passed the new bolt through to the pump, then reinstalled the bracket. Somehow that fit, when backwards it didn't...geometry isn't working today.

I hate posting these types of threads, where its a simple issue. Seems like a waste. Regardless, thanks for the help!
