did you use 3M or Loctite paint stripper. Both work amazing but better use respirator and stay upwind. I couldnt believe how clean the metal is afterwards. Progress is looking awesome keep at it.

Back to regular programming
So now metal work on door is done. It needs some massaging by someone better on the hammers than me. A little disappointed on how it turned out. Was hoping it wouldn't be so dished...
Anyhow. Hard top side are back from blaster. Shouldn't take to much patching. Hope they are done early this week.
Also clearance the steer column to shock tower.
Going to pick up some under coating and s*** for cleaning spraying wheel wells and inside

Those doors are near impossible to get flat once you weld on them. I ended up tacking a couple of angles across the inside.

So more progress tonight.
Firstly I fitted my 3" wheel spacers. Ya they are huge but they represent how wide the truck will be in its final stance. The entire trick of it was some odd wheel studs. The troopy studs are extra fine. Likely to match their drivers....................Girl friends.
So I got some extra fine thread nuts to bolt the spacers in then used the spacer nuts to bolt the wheels on.
Gobs more clearance and a bad ass stance ensued. Tons of steering clearance to boot. Very please with how it will work out. For the upcoming run I may step back to 2" spacers to minimize stress on the knuckles.
Then I started into hard top sides. One need another coat of filler and the other still has some steel work... Progress anyways

Hard top side are done done done
Well as done as they will get until Paul gets ahold of them. He may have a few touchups as he does usually.
Had a little more metal work and then a bunch of filling.
So here are some pics of the wheel stick out. Think I'll need those flares?
Also was able to get the aluminum rad installed while waiting for filler to harden. This also gave me a chance to install heater hose anti kinker things on the feed to the webasto
Then Char helped me clean up my
Epic mess and move this beotch back into the garage. Now the bumper and slider builds can start.

Bumper is tacked all together an mounts made up
Char was busy seam sealing the hard top side.
So have at least another day of bumper work to get it ready and painted.
Tomorrow likely get sliders tacked together if all goes well.
Have a booked Saturday but Friday is off so hoping to have 2 solid days in this weekend too. If all goes well bumper and sliders will be finished/painted and installed.
