At this point char and I took headed over to rid Paul of all the removable stuff. The plan is to strip all this stuff sand blast repair and prep for paint.

Today I started on the roof.... It looks like it will really suck....

Paul also patched up the cowl in typical Paul fashion.

More to come in the not so distant future! How about a sandblast night? That or I'll drop it at my local hot

Roof drip edges look rough on the bottom. Good news is the gasket is salvageable. But I'll need to fab almost all new drip rails. So that outta be interesting. They are riveted to the fibreglass in 673 places.....

Kits are available but not all that s*** hot from the reading I've done

Hmm. Unsolicited Advice. Get a certain spot weld drilling fiend to tackle your 673 problems while you tackle his 1. Win-win. :)

3 beers, zip disc, punch, hammer. Done, looks more daunting than it is.
Need to find a donor top...

it can look like a mountain of work and like there is no end to it but believe me, once all the rust is gone it is really satisfying to drive a 40 series with no holes in it.

Unfortunately when I'm done this one I have to start my 45...better get that tetanus shot.

I think Paul must s*** rainbows. Great work on the bodywork. Lets see a thread on Pauls projects over the years showing off his skills

he's like a Unicorn except... He's been seen.

Well much more work today. I managed to sneak to the park and help Paul. It was nice to get back into the groove of body work. It's been a while

That's pretty much it.

A few more patches on the quarter and the floor skin. Then the filler can be applied.

Progress at least

LOOKS GOOD BUDDY

I am glad that i didn't have to floor pans . How bad was the support unerneath near the body mounts?

The wheel well repair also looks real good.

Supports are toast, kinked up new ones on the brake....next one goes on a rotisserie, this old body don't bend like it used to!

Drip rails are off. Now to see if pauls break can bend up some patches for it. Then to strip 19lbs of silicone off them. This previous owner is obsessed with silicone!
