Excellent work, I look forward to seeing the final product ! How much did he charge for it?

Mike says the final price is $800 CAD for the whole 2 drawer setup minus the custom work for the hi-lift and tabletop (that would be extra if you wanted it).

Updated pic from tonight... top piece with 3 sides that fold up on piano hinges.

$800+? Ill be building my own.... aluminium.
Not saying it isnt worth $800, craftsmanship is great, just not my cup of tea. (not even close)

So let me get this right.....you were touching firm wood?

Yeah Jeff, that's some really firm wood... hard almost. You get what you pay for. :hhmm:

Fawk...... I'm gonna get myself in trouble in this section. I better retreat back to 3rd class steerage.

I have a few questions and might be better off contacting the builder directly but thought the answers might be relavent to others looking here.

- What latches are being used to secure the drawers?
- What method to secure these in the truck? I know there's a lot of RHD LCs out there and I think they have differences in bolt locations etc given the third row, etc?
- What kind of turn around time is he expecting?
- Would he include install for someone that showed up to pick them up?

Thanks,

Hey Sprockett, probably best to contact Mike to ask those questions (info@trekkenoffroad.com), but feel free to post back with his answers if you'd like :)

For mine, it's secured with stainless steel bolts through the factory tie down holes. If the USA 80's are different I'm sure he could accommodate them or whatever the individual wants.

Update... it's in the truck, and it's awesomeness.

The handles are a bit weak, so Mike will be replacing them with bigger paddle types. Other than that, everything is perfect!

I will have my good camera back on the weekend and will take some detailed pictures. For now, lunch on the trail....

really great looking set up, it should be easy enough to leave the top of the table slide exposed when in the closed position to make it a freezer mount.

Yep, anything you can think of Mike can build! I think he's already done that on his own trailer, as well as a 2x extended tabletop. So basically the tabletop pulls out and then a slightly smaller one inside it extends even further. Cool stuff!

Any word on when the site will be up or when prices might be made public?

posted with my thumbs.

Mike is a little IT challenged, so hopefully soon on the site. He also has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trekken-Offroad/393703834002792 though there's not a lot on their either. Last time I talked with him, a two drawer setup (including the top with 3 folding compartment covers) was $800 CAD and free installation if you pick it up from his shop in Victoria, BC.

Looks good. I wish the pull out table was underneath the drawer instead though and the other side had a fridge pull out on top.

Price seems very fair.

He can do that, no problem. It's completely customizable that way.

The table is a nice touch but I would of had it made like a regular drawer but with a top. That way you aren't loosing the storage space the table takes up and you still have a table.
