Put carpets, dynamat, and heavier oil - made a big difference. Less road noise and fumes in the cab. Not too expensive and easy to do.

I haven't really thought about heavier oil. it does seem louder now than it was before the tear down. I had to change the oil to install the twin stick kit. what weight do you recommend to make it quieter?

I might do dynamat under the hump. and I need to fit boots to the shifters.

That will solve most of your problems right there.

that might cause some heating issues.

Just a thought, mentioned many times. Gear oil sometimes leaks from the t-case to trans. Overloads trans and empties t-case. Check it out. There are cheap hoses made to return oil from trans back to t-case. Good idea, that hose!

I checked and it's up to the fill hole. I'm guessing that fluid transfer problem doesn't happen with a NV4500 and a AA adapter in between. Anybody know?
