I'm sure John's still selling them new. I have his email addy at work. I'll PM it to you Monday. No directions included in the kit but it's pretty straightforward....
Howdy! This is the first time I have seen a good pic of Pardi's Plate. Thanks. I think I need to get one of those, too. I already have one of the top-mount savers from someone else, I don't remember who, but I have not dropped the drive line so I can put it on yet. It looks like there would be no interference between the two different systems. Send me the purchase info on Pardi's goodies, also, if you would, please. TIA, John

both are fully compatible.

And would make for a much safer system

 ok, I understand...

...typically what gearbox and t-case is this a problem with? or is it all of them?

mine is a H55F

The three speed case(to 73, 10 spline input) is weaker than the 4 speed tcase(from 74, 16 spline input). The savers help with both. The split transfer case (from mid 1980, 19 spline input) is not compatible with those type of case savers and is considerably stronger anyway.

I'll have one for sale at the PMC swap meet ;)

I won't make it to the swapmeet but would you be willing to ship it? If so how much and a shipping estimate to Yuma, AZ (85365)? Also do you have any pictures of it?

I tried to PM you but it said that your mailbox was full.

t-case saver saved this case from spliting in half, unfortanitly the gears pushed thru the front of the case and the nose cone twisted off. One of these days i'll get rid of these stupid cruiser cases that I can't seem to keep together :shotts:

On the case savers....

I am sorry to say that I am out of them, and I do not know when I will be making more of them due to the current work-load on customer vehicles.....

Thank you to everyone that has been PM'ing me about these...

I am sorry that I do not have product to ship to you folks.

You don't have to drop the driveline to install a case saver. We have done 2 and didn't have to unhook anything. It can be a bitch to get to the bolts but can be done. Good luck.

Later,

Is there an easier way to get one on a 79+ with the smaller tranny cover? I was trying to figure it out last weekend. I have Poser's model.

what does it take to break a transfer case i run a modified fj 40 with a 501 caddilac, turbo 400 auto ,rockwell axles, 5and1/2 foot tall tractor tires, locked front and rear. the transfer case has not broke after years of abuse.this includes pulling a loaded rock sled back to the line at the truck pulls mud bogs and crushing cars.not trying to be an ass but i dont see 1 breaking in a stock truck seems like it would take low gears 37s and being wedged in the rocks or something could we hear from some one who broke 1 and how it happened .hope fully a video of this truck in action will be on you tube in the near future thanks and good luck

I'd like to see that. :D

The t-case saver is cheap insurance. I'd recommend it for anyone who's slightly modified and/or wheels their rig.

undercut and lots of traction. I have broken 3. all with t-case savers

You have the benefit of having very low gears in your axles, this takes a lot of stress off other components, not to mention an auto, and the fact that the east coast has way less traction.

Can't you take the shifter floor plate out and reach in and install it from the top????

thats a good point we ran the rubicon back in 73 or 74 and it was unreal how well the tires grabbed its a lot muddier here and probably makes all the difference thanks
