For all of those who thought lower 2 was the meanest trail at Tellico............ I unfortunately have proof otherwise

Trail one Sunday night Tellico, NC a sad day in my cruiser existance

Flipped her over with some help from some friendly jeepers put in 7 new quarts of oil and wheeled trail 5,8,9 (slickrock) monday and then drove all the way home monday night with no windshield and temps in the 40's........ it was the most upleasant drive ever, especially when a bug would samck me in the face at 40 mph................... Flame away fellas :grinpimp:

and I would like to take a moment to thank Metal tech for saving my engine, and more Importantly to Toyota and that flimsy stock roll bar that saved richards and myselves life after flipping going about 25 mph........... no injuries what so ever if you don't count my PRIDE  although my pruty red cruiser isn't so purty anymore :crybaby: lot of body work to be done over x-mas break

Damn JP. Sorry to hear of this. I have seen more than one accident on the access roads up there, including a head-on with a prstine 40 owned by Danny who was in our club. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Remember, chicks dig body damage. :grinpimp:

Glad to see you were able to still enjoy the trails. After meeting you at Mountain Estates for the first time last January at the snow run, that ride home with no windshield and temps in the 40's should have been a cakewalk for ya. :princess:

OK, JP, I gotta ask the obvious. How did that happen on 1? Story please!! :D

I forgot I was driving a landcruiser and rather thought I was in a rally car.............

basically I was being a TARD and driving way to fast I hugged the corner I was coming around a little to tight and my swampers grabbed the hill beside me and with no power steering it jerked the steering wheel right out of my hands and away my cruiser went climbing the near vertical sidehill until flopped over and skidded to a stop............ it really happened so fast, I couldn't believe it.

One minute I was having fun blasting up the gravel road and then all up a sudden I was dangleling upside down with gas dripping down on me..... Oh what a feeling.

Damn... Sounds like a thrilling way to start a trip at Tellico. :)

Glad you guys are OK and the rollbar did it's job.

Wish I could have made it! Next time!!

Yeah, keep me posted on the MLK weekend details.

I am planning on it for sure.

WOW

Glad you guys made it out of that okay. Damn. Sorry about the carnage. That sucks. So how much body damage was there? Pics?

At least your fire extinguisher made it through that roll :D

Funny I thought the fact that you only had front brakes would be the reason you wrecked. :flipoff2:

I'm gonna post some pics this afternoon of the damage done......... basically the whole drives side got trashed, front of the hood, the winsheild frame is toast, and the roll bar pushed through the floor board in the rear...........

Sounds like its time for a cage like Alans. Glad your OK!

.

I use to be into motorcyles....got into landcruisers to prevent body damage......... to me.

Hey fellow grease monkey brother, glad to see you are ok...that's pretty terrifying lookin at those pics..and being at night didn't help any. Hey guess what you get to have now JP...you get to have a windshield with a front vent on it now. All we gotta do is get it off the cowl and repaint it. Hey your windshield wipers didn't work before at least now when we pull off the motor from the camo one we can put yours on(hopefully) and then you'll have working wipers. Atleast you and rudy are ok and were wearing seatbelts...you need to send that pic to metal tech...

yes it did as a matter of fact! and I ripped it off before the ride home because I was starting to believe it was bad luck to have a clemson flag bestowed upon my vehicle by a tar heels fan :flipoff2:

Hey when we cut out the rear tub you can have the fender hubs if you want them...since you said the roll cage went thru yours.

Well I'm just glad you aint dead, and I know you worked your ass of to get that thing pretty over the summer. And this is your first trip back out to tellico, can't have it down for long.

okay here are some pics of the damage, the pics don't do a great job of showing it but the whole drivers side of the 40 is pretty trashed especially the front end and my half door........
