WOW!!! I'm soooo glad I saw this thread. I'm ready to pull the trigger on about $3,000 worth of parts, but do NOT want to deal with what has been described here!
dont do it man.... i still havent heard/ gotten refunded for my purchase back in march....... not even a return email or anything..... its like i never made the purchase .....

Matt is busy processing the backlog.

He's doing his best.

He's not Amazon.

He bought a couple cases of Red Bull and Buffalo wings.

I'd buy from Matt without a second thought.

Every vendor has an occasional blip, especially when dealing with one off, used parts and stuff that has to be ordered with long-ish lead times.

Every email I've sent Matt inquiring about parts has been returned in a timely manner
@ToyotaMatt it’s not an occasional blip. Two purchases from him over a 6 month process - and he tells you he is going to ship - and he doesn’t. He gets you on the phone to to refigure what he needs to do at a cost of at least an hour of him endlessly talking about how good he is - just to have him again not send the paid for items.

First order - I had to put a hold on his PayPal account. I suppose I can do the same on his wife’s account next.

At this point - you can not trust that he will actually send purchased items.

I’m done doing business with him.

Ya. Don’t do it. There are other ways to get parts.

@megolfer, I fully support this. I'm sorry you had to take the time to do this, but hopefully, it will help someone else out.

So on June 19, 2025, ToyotaMatt deleted his Communication Portal 4.0, erasing over 18 months of well-documented negative feedback from Mud members about Vintageteqparts’ business practices. This deliberate act of bad faith scrubbed user content from the section people go to for compiled warnings about potential bad actors. This is now the fourth communication portal that’s been scrubbed, because Matt starts them, and as the owner, it’s his prerogative to delete them. That needs to change and I have created a link round up thread that folks can post to if they so choose with not concern about the thread being deleted (by me at least).

Matt mandates that Mud members communicate solely through his communication portals, only to later delete the thread when criticism mounts (his own words, now conveniently gone). Allowing him to erase legitimate feedback while dictating communication terms strips users of agency. I encourage Mud members to reject future communication portals and create independent threads to preserve their concerns and hold Matt accountable.

Matt has time to post “new products” but not to respond to paid customers about their orders. That’s a giant :flipoff2: to every customer with an order that’s still unfulfilled and every refund he promised that has not been returned. If Matt were diligently addressing backorders, it would be one thing. Instead, he exploits customers as a Supporting Vendor. Most Mudders would agree, the red badge isn’t just someone who pays more than a silver and gold star member. The privilege of carrying the red supporting vendor badge is a tacit endorsement of a vendor by Mud, unfortunately, Matt is operating under the Supperting Vendor banner and :poop: all over other Mudders.

What does it take to get banned from MUD? Just wondering.

At this point. I’d have to agree. If he can advertise, and yet not own his service conversation and quality conversation here isn’t right.

He should consider moving his inventory to a reputable vender here and wash his hand of the logistics of his inventory.

Toyota Matt has incredible knowledge and what I have gotten from him - is quality stuff.
